Introducing Incoming Board of Advisors Chairman, Nathan K. Finney, PhD!

Nathan (Nate) is the incoming Chairman of the Board of Advisors. Currently, he is serving as the Military Writers Guild President. In addition to these roles, Nate was a founding executive board member of the Military Writers Guild, as well as a founder of The Strategy Bridge and the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum.

Nate works as an Army Strategist (FA59), currently serving as the Director of the Commander’s Initiatives Group at the U.S. Army Forces Command. Nate earned a Ph.D. in History at Duke University in 2022 while also serving as a Goodpaster Scholar. Nate has written and edited several books, including Redefining the Modern Military: The Intersection of Profession and Ethics, On Strategy: A Primer, and Orchestrating Power: The American Associational State in the First World War. Currently, Nate is researching for his second book which focuses on Cold War Taiwan.
