📣 Exciting Opportunity from The Writers Guild Foundation!📣
“Applications for the 2026–27 cycle of our Veterans Writing Project will open on December 17, 2025!
The Veterans Writing Project is a 10–month mentorship program that supports emerging writers from U.S. military backgrounds by providing the education, community, and industry insight they need to launch their screenwriting careers. Participants are matched with WGA members who provide hands-on guidance and feedback as they complete an original TV or feature script.
Each workshop features a curated panel or guest speaker, covering topics ranging from writing fundamentals to navigating the entertainment business. Upon graduation, writers will have the opportunity to pitch their completed projects to leading agents, managers, showrunners, and executives.

Applications are due by 11:59 PM PT on either of the following deadlines:
Early Bird Deadline — January 13, 2026
Standard Deadline — February 3, 2026
